Project Details
Swirl is an online private-sale site created in partnership with DailyCandy, offering clothing and accessories from the world’s best designers at special members-only prices. We were tasked with creating an online boutique that felt familiar to loyal DailyCandy readers but had its own unique voice. We worked with Eve Epstein, Swirl’s Creative Director, to develop the brand, website, packaging and collateral.
We chose floating cards, which emulated pieces of paper, to give the site a hand-done feel–while at the same time organizing the various featured sales and brands. We asked illustrator Miss Capricho to create custom illustrations for applications across the site and packaging. It was essential that both the design and user experience made shopping at Swirl an inviting, exciting, and easy experience from beginning to end. We collaborated with our user experience partner, Tamara Adlin, to develop special features to achieve this; for example, the “My Sizes” feature automatically sorts products on the site to the customer’s measurements.
We sought to create special moments across all the brand’s touch points that would feel as authentic and heart-warming as the DailyCandy brand we know and love.
